Between the 1st of April 2017 and the 31st of March 2021, the Higher School of Strategic Planning in Dąbrowa Górnicza will implement a project called “Completion of the Bachelor's degree in nursing in English” as part of the Action 3.3 Internalization of the Polish Higher Education as part of the Knowledge Education Development Operational Programme, co-financed under the European Social Fund.
The target group of the project is 28 Polish and foreign graduates of secondary schools, composed of 14 Poles and 14 foreigners. The main purpose is to educate and prepare 28 people for the practice as a nurse.
The curriculum covers 4,720 hours of classes and traineeship during 7 terms, including 660 hours of classes without the presence of an academic teacher. Traineeship will be organized in health care facilities located in Silesia. After graduation and the defence of the BA dissertation, students can apply to the Regional Chamber of Nurses and Midwives for the issue of a Licence with which they can start their practice as a nurse.
Foreigners start their participation in the project with summer school classes, which last 3 weeks x 40h weekly.
The classes will be held on business days in the summertime after the recruitment of foreigners. During their participation in the summer school, they will receive a scholarship amounting to PLN 825.
Foreigners taking part in the project will receive a scholarship from October to June monthly in the amount of PLN 1,100 throughout the entire period of studies. These funds will partially cover the costs of living away from their homeland and enable them to stay for the entire education cycle.
